In the period 2022-2023, we implemented the Urban Accessibility Plans of the Municipalities of Syros-Ermoupolis and Eretria. An Urban Accessibility Plan is defined as the strategic plan of the required configurations, interventions and constructions to ensure accessibility, which is prepared by the municipalities.<\/p>

With the Municipality of Peristeri as a study area, we implemented a pilot application of accessibility of shared areas for people with disabilities, mothers with children, elderly people with mobility or other health problems, with the ability to choose an accessible route to approach a point of interest for the Project: \"Inter-Municipal Interactive Portal of Smart Functions and Services for Citizens, Social Networks and Social Institutions - Pilot Actions for the Unified and Comprehensive Smart Management of Urban Resources and Dynamic Information and Everyday Services in Western Athens.\"<\/p>

Through our participation in the CapsuleT Accelerator, we designed an accommodation accessibility assessment application and a digital platform to inform visitors with disabilities about accessible routes on islands such as Syros, Corfu and Crete (Chania).<\/p>

The project concerned the development of an online map in a web GIS environment for the accessibility and navigation of people with mobility difficulties in the Municipalities of Moschatos - Tavros and Alimos, adopting internet technologies and geoinformatics applications. AccessLab was the Contractor and the Contracting Authority was the Region of Attica. The project was hosted on the website gosafe.gov.gr for 2 years.<\/p>

We participated in the OASA project entitled \"Study to improve conditions and enhance the accessibility of public transport for citizens\" with the aim of planned changes and interventions at central stations and public transport transfer points so that urban transport becomes more \"friendly\" towards disabled people and cyclists.<\/p>

The study included proposals for the creation of a smart and green port in Milos (Adamas Port), utilizing technologies that create opportunities for more effective monitoring of delinquent behaviors as well as substantial information and awareness of the passenger public using the port infrastructure. At the same time, it aimed to document why smart ports should be friendly and accessible to all citizens, including disabled people and people with disabilities. AccessLab participated in the study team.<\/p>

The program aimed to create very small and small, sustainable businesses with an emphasis on innovative business plans and to boost employment by creating sustainable new jobs. The funding was from the National Strategic Reference Framework 2014-2020 and AccessLab absorbed almost 100% of the approved subsidy for operating expenses for establishing and maintaining a professional office, salary costs, insurance contributions and professional equipment.<\/p>
